Terra Security launches feature to automatically block attacks

As reported by Silicon Angle, Terra Security Inc. has launched a new feature called Prevention, designed to automatically write firewall rules to block attacks that its AI agents have already identified and proven to be exploitable. This new offering aims to address the critical gap between the discovery of a vulnerability and the implementation of a fix.

Prevention is designed to bridge the time lag, often weeks long, that occurs between a confirmed security finding and the deployment of a code fix. When Terra's platform confirms a finding is exploitable, its agents test existing security controls. If they fail, Terra generates a precise firewall or WAF rule, validates it against the specific exploit, and provides it for deployment. This process ensures that defenders can block active threats without leaving their systems vulnerable while waiting for patches.

The company states that its AI-native offensive security platform, founded in 2024, uses AI agents to probe customer environments, ranking risks by exploitability rather than just severity. The platform covers web applications, APIs, mobile and internal apps, AI systems, networks, and cloud environments, with Fortune 500 companies among its clientele.
