Sophos has announced a significant expansion of its threat intelligence integration, embedding its Sophos Intelix platform directly within multiple Microsoft Copilot environments, according to Security Brief United Kingdom.

This strategic move allows organizations to leverage real-time Sophos threat data natively inside Microsoft Security Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Copilot Studio, streamlining security workflows within applications like Teams. The integration enables natural language queries, file scanning, and incident triage without switching platforms, helping security teams enrich alerts and IT administrators check domain reputations.

Simon Reed, Chief Scientific Research Officer at Sophos, stated that this shift is moving security beyond traditional graphical interfaces "toward a new paradigm of human-AI collaboration."

This development is particularly targeted at resource-constrained small and mid-sized businesses, with Sophos also earning a specific Microsoft designation for its managed detection and response service tailored to this market. Vasu Jakkal, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft Security, emphasized that these integrations will help managed service providers "easily implement and scale the security services that small business customers need" against increasingly sophisticated attacks.
