Per The Register, ServiceNow has announced a significant expansion of its AI Control Tower, transforming it from a governance dashboard into a comprehensive command center for managing artificial intelligence assets across an entire enterprise, including those operating outside its own platform. The updated AI Control Tower now encompasses five key areas: discovery, observation, governance, security, and measurement, addressing the challenge of AI agent sprawl. It extends beyond ServiceNow's platform with 30 new connectors for major cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, as well as enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle, and Workday. The system can now identify AI assets, models, agents, prompts, and datasets across an organization's entire technology estate.Leveraging patented access graph technology from its Veza acquisition, it enforces scope permissions, least privilege, and auditable identity chains. A demo showcased the Control Tower detecting and mitigating a prompt injection attack on a pricing agent autonomously. Acquisitions of Veza and Traceloop underpin its security and observability, providing deep AI observability and continuous runtime monitoring. The Control Tower also includes cost tracking and ROI dashboards to monitor AI spending and tie it to business outcomes. Additionally, ServiceNow introduced Action Fabric, allowing external AI agents to trigger governed enterprise workflows, with Anthropic's Claude as the first design partner.Source: The Register
