Enterprise identity protection company Semperis Ltd. has acquired identity resilience specialist MightyID Inc. for an undisclosed sum. MightyID focuses on ensuring authentication and access systems remain operational during failures or attacks, preventing costly downtime, according to a recent report by Silicon Angle.

MightyID, founded in 2023, provides continuous backups and automated restores for identity and access management (IAM) data, including users, groups, policies, and configurations. This allows for quick recovery of specific identity elements without disrupting the entire environment. The company also offers migration capabilities to simplify transitions between cloud identity providers like Okta and Ping Identity, and provides failover support for primary identity systems experiencing outages or attacks.

Semperis plans to integrate MightyID's technology to extend its identity-first security and crisis management offerings for hybrid Microsoft Active Directory environments. The integration aims to provide organizations with comprehensive capabilities for managing hybrid identity systems, including continuous exposure management and automated remediation.
