About a week after security mailing list Full Disclosure was suspended, another security expert agreed to take the helm in managing the project.
Gordon Lyon, who runs Seclists.org, will now manage the forum, where researchers shared information about exploits and security concerns. In a Tuesday post on Insecure.org, Lyon said that he would take over for John Cartwright who abruptly shut the list down.
Lyon wrote that the list was “taking a fresh start,” and that all interested users would need to subscribe to become a member.
He assured the community that the new Full Disclosure would be “lightly moderated like the old list,” by volunteers who are active users. Lyon is also the author of Nmap, an open source security scanner.
