IT security company Secunia has appointed Santeri Kangas as its new chief technology officer (CTO).
Kangas will lead the company's product and technology group after spending 23 years at online security and privacy firm F-Secure, leading the F-Secure Security Laboratories until 2009, according to a release.
Secunia, which is based in Copenhagen, tapped Kangas for his expertise in building products for consumers, corporate and telecommunications operator channels. During his career he has established, organized and optimized multinational cybersecurity laboratories and product development organizations.
At F-Secure Kangas played a key role in establishing the firm as a global R&D organization. He also served in numerous leadership positions including chief architect, vice president of research and CTO.
