Security Brief Asia reports that Ricoh has announced that its cloud-based print, scan, and device management platform, RICOH CloudStream, has successfully completed a SOC 2 Type II audit, certifying its internal controls for data protection and security.

The audit, conducted under the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants framework, focused specifically on the Security trust criterion, verifying that CloudStream’s defenses are effectively designed and consistently operated to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches. Taro Takamatsu, General Manager of Ricoh's Digital Services Business Division, stated the achievement "validates our efforts to deliver secure and compliant digital services," providing customers with renewed confidence as they modernize print and device infrastructure.

This certification is increasingly critical for procurement due diligence, especially in regulated industries, as organizations migrate critical workflows to the cloud and demand greater scrutiny of vendor security. CloudStream supports multi-vendor hardware management through a single interface, designed for distributed workplaces and hybrid work models.

Ricoh emphasized that the SOC 2 report offers vital assurance for clients managing sensitive data and is available upon request to partners and customers as part of the company’s commitment to transparency and alignment with international security standards.
