Operations of the Rhadamanthys information-stealing malware were noted by a developer to have been disrupted by German law enforcement following the infiltration of its EU data center-hosted web panels by German IP addresses before cybercriminals' access was revoked, reports BleepingComputer.Multiple Rhadamanthys customers disclosed the inability to enter their web panels, which now required certificate-based logins, according to cybersecurity researchers g0njxa and Gi7w0rm."Those who installed it manually were probably unscathed, but those who installed it through the "smart panel" were hit hard," said one of Rhadamanthys' subscribers. All Tor onion sites leveraged by Rhadamanthys have also been taken down by still unknown actors, noted g0njxa.Such dismantling of Rhadamanthys is believed by some cybersecurity researchers to be related to the ongoing law enforcement effort Operation Endgame, whose website contains a countdown timer disclosing its latest action on Thursday.Multiple illicit cyber threats, including the Bumblebee, IcedID, SmokeLoader, and SystemBC malware operations, have already been clamped down by Operation Endgame.
