Software supply chain security startup RapidFort Inc. announced it has raised $42 million in early-stage funding. This capital will be used to expand go-to-market efforts, advance automated remediation, deepen enterprise adoption in regulated industries, and extend software supply chain security from build through runtime, according to a recent report by Silicon Angle.

Founded in 2020, RapidFort focuses on eliminating vulnerabilities before they reach production by automatically identifying and removing unnecessary components from container images. This approach shifts security from reactive scanning to continuous, automated remediation, aiming to reduce exposure to known threats by up to 95% without manual intervention. The company's offerings include near-zero-CVE hardened container images and runtime intelligence that monitors applications and removes unused components in live environments. The Series A funding round was led by Blue Cloud Ventures and Forgepoint Capital, with participation from several other venture firms.
