In response to the escalating use of artificial intelligence by cybercriminals, Palo Alto Networks has partnered with education provider Cyberlite to launch a free digital literacy toolkit designed to help teachers educate students on recognizing and resisting AI-driven threats, according to Back End News.

The new "AI Safety in the Classroom Toolkit" provides 30-minute modular lessons covering critical topics such as generative AI basics, prompt engineering, deepfake detection, algorithmic bias, and the privacy implications of recommendation engines. According to Lisa Sim, Vice President of Marketing for Asia-Pacific at Palo Alto Networks, the materials are designed to be easy for educators to use, helping them become proficient in delivering these vital lessons.

The initiative builds on the companies' existing partnership, which has already distributed over 100,000 cyber safety workbooks across the Asia-Pacific region. This educational push comes directly from Palo Alto Networks' threat intelligence, which has identified social engineering as a primary attack vector that is being supercharged by generative AI to create more convincing and personalized malicious content.
