As reported by Tech Radar, Norton's scam detection tool, Genie, is now accessible within Claude AI chatbots, following its earlier integration with ChatGPT. This expansion aims to provide users with immediate assistance in identifying online threats directly within their preferred AI platforms.

Norton Genie can analyze suspicious emails, texts, messages, images and links using multi-layered detection intelligence. The tool identifies language patterns, social engineering tactics, urgency cues, impersonation attempts and requests for sensitive information. It also verifies URLs and analyzes domains to help users determine if a link is safe to click. This integration comes as Norton reports that nine in 10 threats targeting consumers in 2025 originated from scams, phishing and fake advertisements.

Norton Genie was first launched for ChatGPT in March 2026, described as the world's first AI-powered scam detector. Users can interact with the tool by tagging @Norton and asking questions about the legitimacy of emails or online offers.
