Qilin ransomware group has claimed compromising more organizations this week, making October among its most productive months as a ransomware-as-a-service operation, Security Affairs reports.

After admitting to having breached Texas' San Bernard Electric Cooperative and Karnes Electronic Cooperative, as well as Volkswagen Group Finance on Oct. 14, Qilin has taken responsibility for hacking U.S.-based Rasi Laboratories, Centurion Family Office Services, New Jersey Property-Liability Insurance Guaranty Association, Charles River Properties, Richmond Behavioral Health Authority, and Victory Christian Center, according to Resecurity.

Major African insurance tech solutions provider Turnkey Africa and France's Commune De Saint Claude and Ville-Elne were also claimed to be targeted by Qilin. Qilin was noted by Resecurity researchers to have been supported by robust underground bulletproof hosting operator relationships.

Even though Qilin's bulletproof hosting provider has gone private, all Russia- and Hong Kong-based organizations tied to the ransomware gang have remained in operation, researchers added.
