Major US tech firms reportedly set to be targeted with retaliatory Iranian strikes

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was reported by Al Jazeera, citing Iranian state-linked Tasnim news agency, to have included Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and other U.S. tech giants' facilities across the Middle East as targets for physical attacks in retaliation for the joint U.S.-Israel missile strikes against the country, according to The Register.

Included in the targets detailed in Tasnim's Telegram channel were Google's Dubai and Qatar offices, Oracle's Jerusalem regional cloud service office, IBM's AI and threat response center in Be'er Sheva, Nvidia's primary R&D center in Haifa, and Amazon's Haifa and Tel Aviv offices, with Iranian central military command spokesperson Khatam al-Anbiya warning of the country's "painful response" against the U.S.

"Last night the American terrorist army and the brutal Zionist regime targeted one of the countrys banks after failing in their military objectives. With this illegitimate and unconventional action in war, the enemy left our hands open to targeting economic centers and banks belonging to the United States and the Zionist regime in the region," said the spokesperson.

Such threats from Iran follow its aerial attacks against AWS datacenters in the UAE and Bahrain, which have led to significant cloud service disruptions across the Middle East.
