Cybereason has a nearly $10 million investment from defense contractor Lockheed Martin as part of a $25 million series B fundraising round.
The investment marks Lockheed's decision to start using the firm's software for its 120,000 endpoint users, and resell the solution to its own customers. Rich Mahler, Lockheed Martin's director of commercial cyber services, said in a statement that the software's capabilities will help provide a “more strategic approach to cyber defense” for the company's government and commercial customers.
Reports estimate the investment is near $10 million, although the specific amount wasn't disclosed. Lockheed Martin, which is also a Cybereason customer, opened a cyber-focused office in Israel. The company is expected to expand its 40-person R&D centre in Tel Aviv.
