A hacker tweeted a taunting message to Blizzard Entertainment claiming responsibility for Monday morning server outages that led to authentication lockouts for gamers on the platform.
The incident disrupted gamers attempting to access Overwatch, Hearth Stone, World of Warcraft, Diablo, Heroes of the Stone, and other games according to CSO Online.
“Don't mind me, just doing some preparations. Take care of my packets, Thanks," a hacker who has been linked to Lizard Squad wrote, followed by an emoji blowing a kiss, in a Monday tweet during the server outages.
Prior to the issues, AppleJ4ack tweeted "Here we go," and not long after Blizzard tweeted that it was investigating technical problems which may result in failed or slow login attempts.
The issues have since been resolved however users outside of the U.S. are reportedly still having login issues as of 5:00 PM EST.
