Lancope, provider of network behavior analysis, has been awarded a U.S patent for its network port profiling invention. Instead of relying on signatures, the creation analyzes inbound and outbound network activity to identify new services not in compliance with host profiles. The invention also lets Lancope's signature offering, StealthWatch, work at faster speeds.
