Kai Cyber launches with $125 million to combat AI-driven cyberattacks

Cybersecurity startup Kai Cyber Inc. has launched with $125 million in new funding to develop and scale its artificial intelligence-driven platform designed to counter the increasing use of automation and AI in cyberattacks, according to a recent report by Silicon Angle.

Founded by former Claroty and SecurityMatter executives, Kai utilizes autonomous AI agents to monitor environments, analyze security telemetry, and execute defensive actions without constant human oversight. These agents ingest data from networks, cloud, endpoints, and security tools to detect anomalies, vulnerabilities, and indicators of compromise. The platform continuously assesses exposure and attack paths, correlating events and initiating automated containment or remediation through existing security infrastructure.

Key capabilities include exposure analysis, threat detection, and automated incident response workflows. Kai's AI agents identify potential entry points and privilege escalation paths, and upon detecting suspicious activity, can isolate assets, revoke credentials, or initiate further monitoring. The platform is designed for enterprise environments with hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises, cloud, and operational technology networks.
