Anti-regime activists successfully hacked Iran's Badr satellite on Sunday, briefly hijacking state television channels to broadcast messages from exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi calling for protests against the Islamic Republic, according to Security Affairs.

The cyberattack occurred around 9:30 p.m. and lasted approximately 10 minutes, according to reports. The hijacked broadcast featured footage of protests, solidarity demonstrations from around the world, and messages of support from international leaders. Pahlavi urged protesters to continue their activities and called on Iran's military and security forces to side with the demonstrators.

This incident follows a period of restricted internet access in Iran, with NetBlocks reporting a drop in traffic after a brief restoration of some Google and messaging services.
