Harvard University's first “CyberSecurity: The Intersection of Policy and Technology” event will take place from July 27 to August 1 this year.
The program aims to bring tech professionals and policy makers together to work through cyber security threats and discuss possible policy changes to address them, according to the event's website.
Affiliated Harvard faculty, including former National Security Agency (NSA) Director General Keith Alexander and the chief technologist at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), will direct the sessions. Participants will learn from various case studies and develop techniques to respond to them.
Event participants do not need to have a computer science background but the event is limited to 45 senior technologists and policymakers. The cost to register is $7,200 and includes tuition, housing, curricular materials and some meals.
