Dutch offensive security startup Hadrian Security announced it raised $40 million in new funding to expand its business internationally. The company's software uses artificial intelligence agents to identify exploitable weaknesses in a company's internet-facing systems. Hadrian claims no other vendor offers continuous exposure management and agentic penetration testing together on one platform, according to a recent report by Silicon Angle.
Hadrian's platform is divided into two products: Atlas, which continuously maps an organization's external attack surface, and Nova, which handles on-demand penetration testing. The AI agents in Atlas identify potential vulnerabilities, and Nova can be deployed to investigate further without starting from scratch. This approach addresses the gap where 87% of organizations still rely on manual penetration tests, with only a small fraction of vulnerability scanner findings proving exploitable. Hadrian's AI-driven method emulates hacker attack paths to highlight critical risks for customers. Clients like McKesson Corp., NBCUniversal Media LLC, and TotalEnergies SE are using the platform. The new funding will support growth in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the U.S., as well as expand Hadrian's engineering and research teams. The company has now raised a total of $65 million.
