Facebook is developing new technologies to help crack down on video piracy.Video matching software that the company is working on will allow a subset of content creators to identify matches of their videos on Facebook across pages, profiles, groups, and geographies to report content for removal, according to a release.Facebook will start beta version testing in the near future with a small group of media companies, multi-channel networks and individual video creators and has plans to make the tool available to more entities.“In the long-term, our goal is to provide a comprehensive video management system that fits the needs of our partners,” the release said.The new technology will complement Audible Magic, Facebook's existing content recognition software, to address the concerns of its partners who have been asking for more tools.
