Exabeam expands platform to monitor AI agent activity

(Adobe Stock)

Exabeam Inc. has announced an expansion of its Agent Behavior Analytics platform to include the detection and monitoring of artificial intelligence agent activity across tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini. This move aims to address the growing concern of organizations lacking visibility into employee AI usage, which hinders their ability to baseline normal behavior, investigate misuse, or detect insider threats, according to a recent report by Silicon Angle.

The expanded platform transforms AI agent services into sources of behavior telemetry, feeding directly into Exabeam's threat detection workflows. Five new capabilities have been launched to address agentic threats. These include AI behavior baselining to track deviations from normal patterns in request volumes and token usage, prompt and model abuse detection to identify prompt injection and manipulation, identity and privilege monitoring to govern agent actions, agent lifecycle monitoring for visibility into agent creation and usage, and coverage for OWASP Top 10 for Agentic AI to provide a defined framework for threat assessment. These enhancements are also being integrated into the Exabeam New-Scale and LogRhythm Platforms.
