Blackwall, an Estonia-based company specializing in web traffic security, has secured $100 million in a Series C funding round, reaching a $2.2 billion valuation, as first reported by TechCrunch.
The investment, led by AVP with participation from Dawn Capital, MMC Ventures and Tera Ventures, will support the company's expansion into North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. Blackwall provides security tools to hosting providers, managed service firms and cloud companies to help them manage bot traffic, including rogue AI agents. Unlike competitors that sell directly to end users, Blackwall utilizes a channel approach, allowing providers to customize and rebrand its security suite. The platform offers features such as DDoS protection, threat intelligence and traffic routing. By employing digital fingerprinting and proprietary AI models, the company distinguishes between legitimate visitors, authorized AI agents and malicious bots. CEO Nikita Rozenberg noted that the firm intends to develop additional tools to help providers manage the growing interactions between AI agents and websites. This strategy enables hosting companies to retain client relationships while offering integrated security solutions. The company currently operates a revenue-sharing model, providing free traffic monitoring while charging for active protection services.
