Director of US-CERT leaving post to start firm

Ann Barron-DiCamillo, director of the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT), is vacating her post at the end of the week to start a cybersecurity venture capital firm, FCW has reported.

Along with her FBI counterparts, Barron-DiCamillo led the investigation into the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) hack and data breach that exposed the personal information of more than 21 million former, current and prospective federal government employees.

The DHS has not yet named a replacement for the outgoing director, Nextgov further reported. Barron-DiCamillo's bio states that she first joined the DHS in October 2012, spearheading the Program Development and Capabilities Integration programs branch of the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC).
