According to TechCrunch, cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike is acquiring two artificial intelligence security companies to expand its product capabilities as businesses increasingly deploy AI models and agents.
CrowdStrike will acquire Fiddler AI for approximately $400 million and Dreadnode for $95 million. Fiddler AI provides observability software designed to monitor AI agents within enterprise environments, while Dreadnode specializes in automated security testing to detect vulnerabilities in AI models and applications before deployment. These acquisitions arrive as organizations struggle to manage the rapid adoption of AI tools, which often outpaces existing security policies. CrowdStrike intends to integrate Fiddler AI into its Falcon platform as Falcon Observe to provide telemetry on agent behavior. Meanwhile, Dreadnode will be incorporated into the Falcon Guardian product to offer automated security policy recommendations. By expanding its portfolio, the company aims to capture a growing market share in AI security. This move reflects a broader industry trend where cybersecurity vendors are aggressively investing in specialized tools to control and monitor AI usage, as traditional security software often proves insufficient for the unique risks posed by autonomous agents and custom AI applications.
