CISA to skip RSA Conference

As outlined in The Register, the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has confirmed it will not attend the annual RSA Conference in March. This decision comes as the agency reviews its stakeholder engagements to ensure maximum impact and efficient use of taxpayer dollars.

The agency's spokesperson, Marci McCarthy, stated that CISA is focusing on its core mission and President Trump's policies for American security. This announcement follows the recent appointment of former CISA director Jen Easterly as the new CEO of RSAC.

Historically, federal cyber officials have played significant roles at RSAC, including keynotes and panel discussions. However, last year saw the National Security Agency cancel its popular State of the Hack panel, and CISA declined press interviews.
