Censys gets $70M to scale internet intelligence platform

Censys has raised $70 million in strategic funding, including a $40 million Series D equity round led by Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital and $30 million in debt financing, bringing total venture capital raised to more than $149 million, reports SecurityWeek.

The company provides a continuously updated global map of internet infrastructure, giving security and threat intelligence teams visibility to manage exposure and respond to risks. Core capabilities include attack surface management for discovering, monitoring, and prioritizing risks across internet-facing assets in real time, as well as threat hunting and proactive incident response.

Founder and CEO Zakir Durumeric said AI is transforming security operations, but its success will be shaped by the quality and timeliness of the data available to it. He added that Censys is positioned to drive this transformation with leading intelligence to make AI actionable at global scale. The new capital will support product innovation and global expansion built on the company's recently launched internet intelligence platform. Investors in the round include Decibel Partners, Greylock Partners, GV, and Intel Capital.
