Bot mitigation specialist Kasada has raised $20 million in a funding round led by EQT, bringing its total capital raised to $60 million, reports SecurityWeek.

The Sydney-based company, founded in 2015, provides tools to defend against web-based attacks like account takeover, API exploitation, checkout fraud, and data scraping. The new investment will fuel global expansion and accelerate product development, particularly in agentic defense and fraud prevention capabilities. CEO Sam Crowther stated the funding enables the company to "expand globally and deliver a broader, end-to-end trust platform" that secures digital experiences across login, payments, and AI applications without adding user friction.

Kasada emphasizes its early-attack detection, which it attributes to an understanding of the attacker mindset, aiming to reduce operational costs and improve security outcomes while maintaining an invisible, adaptive defense. The round saw participation from existing investors including Main Sequence Ventures and Ten Eleven Ventures, underscoring confidence in Kasada's mission to restore digital trust amid the rise of AI-driven automated threats.
