AppOmni launches Marlin AI for autonomous SaaS security alert investigation

(Adobe Stock)

According to Silicon Angle, AppOmni Inc. has launched Marlin AI, a new autonomous artificial intelligence capability designed to streamline the process of correlating, investigating, and remediating SaaS security alerts without manual intervention.

Marlin AI operates within the AppOmni platform, continuously analyzing security indicators across business-critical applications. It correlates these indicators to identify and investigate potential incidents, presenting actionable alerts with step-by-step remediation guidance. AppOmni asserts that general-purpose AI tools often falter in complex SaaS environments due to the highly specific data relationships involved. Marlin AI, however, is narrowly focused on SaaS security, leveraging AppOmni's extensive library of audit logs, activity telemetry, and threat research.

This specialized approach aims to reduce the mean time to investigate and remediate security threats. The company claims Marlin AI is the first enterprise SaaS security tool to offer autonomous AI analysis combined with guided remediation.
