Apiiro launches CLI to integrate application security into AI development workflows

As reported by Silicon Angle, application security posture management company Apiiro Ltd. today announced the launch of a new command-line interface (CLI) designed to bring application security directly into artificial intelligence-driven software development workflows as organizations grapple with the rapid rise of AI-generated code.

Apiiro argues that current security workflows are reactive, relying on scanning and remediation after code is written, a model unsustainable with AI's speed. The CLI shifts security earlier by making it accessible to AI agents as they code, allowing automated systems to incorporate security in real time. The tool enables AI agents to query security insights, apply policies, and validate changes within CI/CD pipelines. It includes six agent skills, such as real-time scanning for secrets and vulnerabilities, risk assessment, automated remediation, continuous assistance, AI threat modeling, and secure prompt engineering.
