Silicon Angle reports that two cybersecurity startups, Bold Security and Onyx Security, have launched with significant funding rounds. Both companies aim to tackle new attack surfaces and operational risks introduced by AI integration.Bold Security is developing a platform that transforms enterprise endpoints into AI-powered security agents, shifting processing onto devices rather than relying on centralized cloud monitoring. This approach focuses on analyzing user behavior and application usage locally to detect anomalies in real time.Onyx Security is building an AI control plane to monitor, manage, and govern autonomous AI agents operating within enterprise systems. This addresses risks such as reasoning errors, hallucinations, and prompt-based attacks that arise from AI agents accessing internal platforms and business processes.Bold Security secured $40 million in funding led by Red Dot Capital Partners, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners and Picture Capital. Onyx Security raised a total of $40 million, comprising a $5 million seed round and a $35 million Series A, from Conviction Capital and Cyberstarts.Source: Silicon Angle
