A KPMG poll found that cybersecurity is one of the main risks impacting corporate executives' decisions about adopting AI, according to Cybersecurity Dive.Findings showed that cybersecurity and staff misuse were cited as the biggest issues by 44% of poll participants, compared to just one-third of respondents in the fourth quarter of 2025, who said those issues were their largest. Cybersecurity threats were noted by 58% of respondents to present a financial hurdle, making it challenging for companies to show a return on their investments in AI."Among organizations still experimenting with AI, just 20 percent feel confident managing AI-related risks," KPMG reported in its press release. While there has been great interest in agentic AI, organizations have been worried about the technology. The survey also found that 91% of business executives believed that "data security, privacy, and risk concerns" together were the most important factors affecting their AI initiatives in the upcoming six months.
