In its latest round of funding, security firm Nok Nok Labs, which specializes in authentication, has raised $8.25 million.
The Series C funding includes contributions from its current investors DCM Ventures, Lenovo Group Limited and ONSET Ventures, in addition to new investors DDS Inc. and Raven Ventures, according to a recent release.
The company intends to use the new funding to address its growing demand in the Asia Pacific region, as well as continue to partner with “key regional, strategic investors.”
The firm is also known as a founding member of the FIDO Alliance, which recently published the final draft of its Universal Authentication Framework and Universal 2nd Factor specification, aimed at addressing the issues revolving around current password systems.
